Embattled conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday dismissed reports of dozens of advertisers pulling their commercials from his show, telling listeners that the loss of 28 sponsors (out of a self-proclaimed 18,000) was "like losing a couple of french fries in the container when it’s delivered to you in the drive thru. You don’t even notice it.”

Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke labeled a "slut" by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh says his apology changes nothing. Last Wednesday, Limbaugh branded Fluke a "slut" for her support of the Obama Administration's new policy on contraception. The radio show host repeated the charges on Thursday, saying: "Well, what would you call someone who wants us to pay for her to have sex? What would you call that woman? You'd call 'em a slut, a prostitute or whatever." Although Limbaugh later issued a lukewarm apology, as many as nine advertisers have pulled their ads from his show.

The woebegone tale of radical right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh has hung around long enough to coincide with International Women's Day. That's more than serendipitous to some, considering Limbaugh has successfully fanned the flames over the past week on what is shaping up to be an all-out conservative-based war on American women.

Customers and listeners have taken to social media to inundate advertisers, stations and sponsors of Limbaugh's radio show with calls to boycott after he made incendiary comments last week about a Georgetown law student who testified before Congress in favor of having birth control covered under insurance plans. Limbaugh called the student, Sandra Fluke, a "slut" and a "prostitute."
