Timeline is the new Facebook profile. Essentially it revamps your "Wall" - repurposing photos, friendships and personal milestones in a more magazine-style way. Larger photos, a two-column layout and an archive of your activity by month and year. You don't have to convert to Timeline, but in time, a lot of people probably will. Like all Facebook changes, you'll get used to it.
