No wonder you were shocked when Mitt Romney and other Republicans went down, in some cases, big, on Tuesday night. Many polls were so off base it was laughable - until you stop and think that polling is an exercise in math, which is supposed to be subjective. When pollsters apply their own objectives, in this case, being Republicans, the truly do skew things up.

By comparing Google search rates for voting information so far this year with search rates on comparable dates from previous elections, we might already be able to get a pretty good idea of the composition of the 2012 electorate.
