With the digital cornucopia of pornography, Playboy’s raison d’être has vanished. Its website dropped nudity last year and soon its magazine will still feature women, but not fully nude.

The move to ditch nudity has already paid off. Online readership is up and the demographic has skewed decidedly millennial, with the average readership age now in the 30s, as opposed to 47.
